The phrase “at what cost?” comes to mind.

There is nothing that epitomizes the Atlanta Falcons fan experience more than checking the ESPN gamecast on my phone with my team down 3 and then having it immediately show me a pick-6 going the wrong way (on opening day).

A screenshot of the ESPN gamecast between the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers with a score of 20-10 Steelers after Cooper Rush threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Appreciate the info. Started looking into stuff last night and find myself leaning toward a Samsung QD-OLED purely because my living room has a window to the side and another behind my couch, but the lack of Dolby (a thing I’ve never had) is giving me pause.

Is $34,000 a good deal for a TV?

A Crutchfield listing for the Sony Bravia 9 II Pro 115”, yours for the low low price of $33,999.99.

But really, I don’t like new TVs (or “smart TVs) but probably need to replace this, so outside of Wirecutter reviews what do I need to know about TVs in 2026? I care about picture quality and true black levels, and I’d consider any brand that doesn’t include motion smoothing as a “feature.”

I think my beloved Samsung plasma TV has died after 15 years. I’m coping by never stopping work…?

Deniz came up with an incredible pitch; I picked up some Play-Doh, and that's how it all started. Three Eisners! A huge thank you to the Eisner Awards for this incredible honor. To everyone who voted for our book. To everyone who read it. To my brother Deniz for choosing me>>

Hassan finally having an Eisner for his lettering is just so, so correct. No one does what he does, no one thinks like he thinks, he’s a truly brilliant artist.

[movie execs on Monday] okay, what’s OUR Christopher Nolan directed adaptation of an epic poem featuring an all-star cast at the top of their game which innovates a new filming technique and manages to be both broadly entertaining and dig into universal themes relevant to the world today?

People get upset at the numbers like they’re the ones paying for it. Jock was massively important to last year’s team and needed to be retained, especially once the C market dried up.

Pretty sure I'm done buying games once the last disc is made, and even more certain used games will become more expensive and more inaccessible for those like me who don't want to go all digital. Anti-consumer/user behavior is everywhere, in all industries.

I'm a big physical media guy. I've been lugging portions of my DVD collection around for the last 24 years. I have stacks of PS3 and PS4 games I've yet to play, and an unopened PS5. Especially disappointed Sony, who got many on the DVD (and then Blu-Ray) train will no longer make physical discs.

I think it has a good chance of being one of the year’s most polarizing films, but I found it surprisingly moving. (I support seeing any movie in the theater so I am also biased.)

Brief rant: Yes it's cool that Brunson took less money so the Knicks could build a champion under the salary cap. But he shouldn't have *had* to. Salary caps are just tools billionaires use to suppress wages, and no one gets upset because the labor (pro athletes) make so much money. 1/5

April 1 was always a not great day when I worked for CBR (some publishers would send us official Press Releases that were completely false), but I think you’re right that the last 10 years made the idea of participating in any sort of foolishness today completely pointless and unpalatable.
