One of Meta's main arguments is that it isn't a monopoly because it faces intense competition from TikTok... which is now banned by law from the US but is still here because Trump has chosen not to enforce the law. Are we having fun yet www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

Trump sued to break up Meta in 2020. It’s finally going to trial.
Facebook’s purchases of Instagram and WhatsApp triggered the FTC’s antitrust suit that starts Monday, despite Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg lobbying the Trump administration for a resolution.

Bill Cassidy is out with a statement praising Peter Marks, calling his departure a loss and urging RFK Jr to pick a replacement of similar stature. Again, strikes me that these sorts of admonishments wouldn’t have been needed if RFK Jr wasn’t health secretary.
I thank Dr. Marks for his dedicated service to the health of our country. His departure is a loss to the FDA. Commissioner Makary and Secretary Kennedy should replace him with someone of similar stature and credibility amongst the scientific community, who will lead without bias.

You know what, credit where it's due.
Kathy Hochul's statement on congestion pricing, which reads: "Public transit is the lifeblood of New York City and critical to our economic future—as a New Yorker, like President Trump, knows very well.

Since this first-in-the-nation program took effect last month, congestion has droppeddramatically and commuters are getting to work faster than ever. Broadway shows are selling out and foot traffic to local businesses is spiking. School buses are getting kids to class on time, and yellow cab trips increased by 10 percent. Transit ridership is up, drivers are having a better experience, and support for this program is growing every day.

We are a nation of laws, not ruled by a king. The MTA has initiated legal proceedings in the Southern District of New York to preserve this critical program. We'll see you in court."
