Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a free book-gifting programme, was founded in honour of Parton's father, who never learned to read or write. In June 2014, Parton hand-delivered the millionth UK Imagination Library book - a braille copy of The Tale of Peter Rabbit - to a young child in Liverpool.
