Hoping this might help others too. Also doing power poses which basically consists of me dancing around the house saying “who’s gonna rock this argument? I am” my dog is very confused.

Trying to remind myself that most of the work has already been done. This is just the finishing touches. Thank you for reminding me!

As a person who chronically hold my breath under stress, this is a great reminder of the power of paying attention to your body. Thank you!

Shug is now battling cancer and heart disease. His case asks: Can “death by incarceration” be reconciled with human rights when there is no meaningful path to release—even for someone who has demonstrated profound transformation?

Shug has had no disciplinary infractions in 40+ years, got his GED, became sober, and mentored younger people. Prison staff and the PA Department of Corrections recommended clemency. The PA Board of Pardons nevertheless denied his commutation petition twice, without explanation.
