It starts with sniper yuri and before you know it BAM you're a copy of Svetlana Alexievich's The Unwomanly Face of War deep into the post-soviet literature vortex.

A page from Comrade Girls, Shoot the Enemy. Two women in Red Army uniforms embrace and kiss before saying "One kill a day. Two if we can manage!" In unison. It's the most doomed yuri I've seen in a fortnight

Pac had the most beautiful finisher in wrestling, and for a long time he had a look & vibe I would describe as "underwear goblin." Though he was as good as literally any leading-man wrestler on earth, he excelled as a character actor in the ring. He was a fixture of my wrestling life. I'll miss him.

PAC trying so hard not to laugh vs. OC is what made me love wrestling again. Ever since, I was glued to his matches; for his generational athleticism but more for the glimpses we got at the guy underneath. RIP PAC. Forgotten by gravity and no one else.

Yesterday, I tried to work through some feelings by painting a watercolor. My wife liked it enough to frame it. Today, our friends sent us a memorial bouquet. Losing Hazel doesn't feel real but having a little memorial is making it a little easier.

We said goodbye to Hazel this morning. She was my best friend through many of the hardest and best years of my life. Despite years of trying, I never could tell her how much she meant to me. I'll miss her always.

Hazel came to me at one of the hardest points in my life. I was early in my transition, dumped and struggling to find a job as a recently minted PhD. I am confident that I would not have survived if not for the stability she provided. Ever since, she's always been there. She was such a big part of my life that the artist I commissioned for stream assets through her in there unprompted knowing how important she was to me. She's kicked me when I stopped petting her, slept with me while I was recovering from surgery and raised a lot of money for charities. Today, I said goodbye to my best friend.

I like to think that wherever dogs go is the real heaven. When we go, all the dogs we've known in life get to vote on whether our vibes are good enough. I always tried to do right by her. When the time comes, I hope she'll leave the door propped open for me. Until then, I don't think I'll ever stop missing her.

I've been able to meet some wonderful people in my life. Daniel aka sweetxjam was one of the best.

I first met Daniel aka sweetxjam before he played Jam. Those games quickly gave way to riffing about the characters on his arcade stick and many years where I can't recall a single time he didn't make me laugh. Of all the people I've met, he was one of the funniest and kindest. Every time I thought he was already one of the coolest people I knew, there was always something else to learn about him. That his continued since his passing. I expect it will continue for some time as I read through other folks posting their own stories about him.

He was a mentor, a friend and genuinely remarkable person loved by many. The world is less without him.

I cried when he beat me in an exhibition set. I wish that had been the last time he made me cry
