The Times - which has v much joined in the rightwing clamour to reduce immigration - now reporting that Mahmood’s “success” has cost the economy £4- to £7Bn. I came across this stretch of restored medieval flooring recently. What makes it especially interesting is that it's made from repurposed Roman tiles and hypocaust bricks, found on site. This seems a practical, attractive, and environmentally sound arrangement. #Photography #History #Archaeology
