So now I am a very disabled man, so broken daily tasks are an issue. But I am still happy. I have two amazing kids. I’ve done a combination of things most would be incapable of doing and yes. Those memories. The good and the bad. Love you all so very much.

Dear beautiful women,
I've started this letter like ten times and deleted it every time because very time I start I cry. So I'm just going to write it.
Your flag matters to me. It matters so much that it's flying at a lesbian household where anyone walking by can see it.
I'm a trans girl so I'm not sure you can relate but I'll try. Most days I'm doing math in my head like which hallway is safer, who I can sit near at lunch whether it's worth saying something or just letting it go. I'm so tired. I don't think people who don't have to do it know how tired it makes you.
I walk past your house almost daily. The first time I saw the flag I slowed down without meaning to. It was just hanging there like it was no big deal but to me it was everything. It felt like the people inside would see me as who I actually am and I wouldn't have to explain or prove anything. My shoulders dropped for the first time all day and I almost cried right there in front of your home.
I know that living here isn't easy for gay people like you where not everyone is kind about it so putting that flag up means risking stares, comments or worse. You did it anyway, and that is the bravest thing I've seen anyone do. Every day it stays up it tells people like me that someone is willing to be brave so we don't have to be alone. Now I look for it. Some days it's the one thing that makes me feel like I'm not imagining that I deserve to be here. When so much of the world feels like it's deciding whether there's room for me your flag says there is. Please keep it up. You might not know it but it's helping me get through the day.
Thank you for your courage, and for leaving the porch light on for the rest of us.

Realized while listening to interviews w Becky Chambers that I’ve always loved science-fiction, and a lot of what kept me out of it was a sense of straight white dude dominance. Most of the SF I fell in love with was written by queer folks, and rarely got adapted. It felt like “Dune” or nothing.

Been a couple days of just soul crushing depression and anxiety paired with my body hurting every where because the tension has pretty much turned every muscle into high tension wire. But my cats, they love me. My daughters are amazing people. I am able to feed myself and take my meds. Love y’all.

This will be for two weeks of groceries btw. A quarter of the groceries are safe foods for my disabled child. Things I bought before have almost double in price . We were okay in $480 but it keeps getting more expensive even with budgeting, off brand things and hardly any junk food.

Just watched a short on the Tylenol killer. One of the facts used is the type of cyanide used was industrial use. The suspect was a chemist who would know the difference. That doesn’t mean access. Tylenol used the chemical for purity testing. There was no safety protocols to keep it out of supply.
