"Say cheese!" I have a strange obsession with snow and winter art consider it's never been that cold in my place. Maybe I'll do a rainy one next.

A wedding invitation I had the absolute pleasure to make 💚

a white opossum and a red panda sit together lovingly on a large root coming out of the ground- lots of purple flowers and autumnal trees in a watercolor style surround them

is there any AI use in this decomp? someone else I know is already working on an AI-free decomp and maybe it would be better to pool together efforts?

was bidding on a rare item; went to make a bid in the last 30 seconds and was greeted with a security dialog that wasn't there on my previous bid that required me to enter my full credit card info... ended up losing the bid to that really fucking annoying, doubt this item will appear again soon

I often see recomps advertise 'native performance'. esp with wave of the slop AI recomps. Verbatim ASM -> C translation is actually quite poor from my experience. Around 25-50% of native, depending on arch. CPU register flags+stack emulation is expensive! Lot of headroom.

does anyone out there have an LG BP71N optical drive? I want to check a few things for OmniDrive/flashing support but this drive in particular seems to be pretty uncommon and only really available in Logitec (Japan) and Ugreen (China) repackagings.

If you see an increase in cancer diagnosis you don’t impose a wait limit on time it takes people to get assessed. You employ more cancer specialists. People are going after a disability because it’s an easy target. This is state sanctioned suffering, abuse and neglect.

I want to make a website/blog to showcase the projects I've worked on and post about things; I'm looking for some inspiration design-wise, if anyone has any suggestions or their own sites to show off. Also would appreciate recommendations for static-site generators.

oh hey, Project Dream got released? and this is in the release notes? archive.org/details/proj...

I hope by releasing this, that it also inspires other people to release what they have as well. I know the Twelve Tales Conker 64 prototype is out there somewhere, but sadly, this is the only thing that I have.

There is little joy left in the industry, as it relentlessly marches towards AI, layoffs, l anti-preservation and ownership tactics, and, in Microsoft’s case, the support and approval of literal genocide in Gaza.

Let’s get the last beautiful things hiding on our hard drives out there for everyone. That's all we have left.

I know @dolphin-emu.org had success with using bunny as a CDN, and they seem to offer a 50M requests/month DDoS protection for $9.50 a month (there's a free tier too with 25M requests but I'm not sure how effective it is for DDoS). no idea how good it is in practice.

apparently channel 4 are planning to do a documentary on furries: x.com/rainingcoyot... this coming off the heals of a heavily sensationalised documentary about how adhd is "overdiagnosed" (it isn't) makes me worried, especially since they seem to be focusing on the kinkier side of the fandom

It has come to my attention that many UK furries (including myself) have a received an email similar to this from Channel 4 Here’s why I said no:
