Wasn't going to post this (since these tests are rarely meaningful) but my result seems kinda unusual; most people I've seen who got Kindness had Determination being pretty low. Makes me wonder what the most+least common top two are.

The Undertale personality quiz, with Kindness as the top result at 75%, followed by Determination (65%), Bravery (46%), Perseverance (46%), Justice (45%), Integrity (36%) and Patience (35%).

hmm I wonder what Datel (creators of the Action Replay cheat carts/discs) are up to now that console security makes them impossible? >looks at their site oh, that's a watch that can perform denial of service and spoofing attacks on wifi networks...

* SUSPEND ALL WiFi activity by denying access to selected Access Points.

thank you google but I think Lisa probably needs an american dentist for her braces

A google search for "lisa needs braces" The AI overview shows a series of images from the Simpsons, followed by the text "To ensure Lisa gets the orthodontic care she needs, you'll first need an assessment. In the UK, you can get a free NHS check-up. If private care is preferred, consider finding a local orthodontist via the British Orthodontic Society for expert, accredited dental professionals near you."

shoutouts to when sega went to make a reprint of Sonic Heroes on PC in 2010 and used a cracked EXE by scene group RELOADED, noticed the signature in a hex editor, and instead of zeroing it to disguise the origin they replaced it with dots since I guess they were just looking at the ASCII view

huh... well that's still sus as hell. just speculation, but looks like they may have used a stolen certificate since Microsoft blocked theirs after the compromise.

the arcade bunny doesn't call the player "skip" on the US version? c'mon that was part of what made him so hot, US people missed out

Excerpt from The Cutting Room Floor's article about Nintendo Badge Arcade: "All events differ between regions, with different localization for America and Europe, for example "Professor Badgegrab" for American English or "Professor Hedge" for British English. In the British localization, Bunny often calls the player "skip", whereas Arcade Bunny in the American localization likes shouting words in capitals instead."

Reminds me of this laptop toy I had as a kid, had a "CD drive" that you would put discs into and they'd spin up and load different programs. Turns out it was just detecting the reflectivity of three points on the outer edge of the disc and loading programs based on that.

Box for the IQ Builders Learning CD Computers, with the laptop itself unpacked below it showing the "CDs" in a container in the lid.

A closer look at the "CDs", each showing a different pattern of black rings around the outer edge, with room for 3 rings.

After feeding them by hand we left some sticks of bamboo all around the enclosure for them to eat, and then they they roamed around the trees occasionally coming back down to see us.

090

Rib ΘΔ @rib.gay · 24/12/2025

The enclosure was really nice, lots of space and natural trees for them to roam around in. The pandas didn't have to come and see us, they could have stayed in the trees if they wanted and food would be left for them, but they were very eager to see us.

I hate age verification as much as the next guy but Twitch are pretty clear that the system they are using is entirely on-device and the photos aren't being stored. Given data protection laws they would definitely be in a heap of shit if they were lying about this.

A screenshot of part of the Twitch age-verification help page, reading "Note: To protect your privacy, Twitch and k-ID (a third-party vendor we partner with to verify your age) do not store your face scan video selfies. The information you provide will be used solely for age verification purposes and will not be used for anything else."

so apparently the Digiblast actually outputs RGB video through the TV-out port which is converted to composite via an AD723 chip. times like this I wish I had the soldering and electrical engineering skills necessary to make an actual RGB cable so I could capture in much higher quality.
