PSA: be careful streaming any Konami games on Twitch going forward. AFAIK they put a bunch of their music on Spotify and/or some other services, and people are getting absolutely blasted with VOD mutes (meaning large sections of past broadcasts will have no audio *at all*)

"appeal muted audio" page on Twitch, showing a large number of claims for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin's soundtrack

Good news: I've met the eligibility requirements for my permanent residency application! I can also apply for an open work permit! Bad news: It's $600 for the processing fee for my perm res app & $155 for the work permit. I hate asking for help but I've set a ko-fi goal: ko-fi.com/proxyglitchc...

Moonlight Museum from Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil aka 風のクロノア2 〜世界が望んだ忘れもの〜 March 2021... I would probably approach some things differently if I were to do it today but I'm still really happy with the way this came together.

Google Maps switched to some new, atrociously awful voice that enunciates stuff weird and is legitimately harder to understand (supposedly Gemini's "Ursa"). gonna give MapQuest a try because i am well and truly at the end of my rope with this company

anyway, health update: taking a beta blocker, get occasional twinges that feel like a heart flutter is about to start, but it hasn't progressed beyond that. i think it's making me more tired than usual, which... isn't great. i'm sleeping 7-8 hours at night, though!

oh hey, Project Dream got released? and this is in the release notes? archive.org/details/proj...

I hope by releasing this, that it also inspires other people to release what they have as well. I know the Twelve Tales Conker 64 prototype is out there somewhere, but sadly, this is the only thing that I have.

There is little joy left in the industry, as it relentlessly marches towards AI, layoffs, l anti-preservation and ownership tactics, and, in Microsoft’s case, the support and approval of literal genocide in Gaza.

Let’s get the last beautiful things hiding on our hard drives out there for everyone. That's all we have left.

Twitch so badly wants you to keep GIFs enabled that they will email your tier 2/3 subscribers and let them know they can downgrade or cancel their sub if you turn them off. what the actual hell is wrong with management over there?
