There are no state rules in Rhode Island regulating the ~300 Flock cameras operating in our Ocean State - how long data is kept, who can search it, or how it's shared with ICE, etc. When I go back to the RI House I will fight for regulation & a moritorium. rhodeislandcurrent.com/2026/08/31/r...

According to public records, Providence signed a three-year contract with Flock Group, Inc. in October 2023 worth $480,000. Per the agreement, Providence would pay $2,500 per camera each year to all 60 cameras.

On Monday evening, the Tiverton Town Council considered the Town’s budget, which included $23k for four new Flock Safety brand cameras. The Council did not vote at the end of the meeting, and we expect they will do so in two weeks.
