We sent a letter to the Cumberland Town Council today, calling on them to cancel their contract with Flock Safety. We recently learned that, in April 2025, a woman was falsely arrested after Cumberland Police wrongly identified her in a photo taken by Flock Safety cameras.

Since late 2025, we’ve been keeping tabs on the RI State Police’s work to distribute Flock Safety automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras across the state. The RISP are installing 39 cameras in 22 municipalities after getting approval from the cities and towns over the past 9 months.
