We ask pediatric nephrologists to dose drugs in AKI, CKD, dialysis, CRRT — and then don’t train them adequately in clinical pharmacology. Excited to share this editorial I wrote with @stanggirdwood.bsky.social about the importance of pharmacology training in pediatric nephrology

Wow who could’ve guessed that this would happen It’s almost as if USAID was a pillar of American soft power and influence in the world It’s almost as if it was entirely predictable that America’s adversaries would work to fill the void left by USAID’s destruction
Haley Britzky @halbritz

AFRICOM commander Gen. Langley tells senators that China is "trying to replicate" USAID programs in Africa as the US scales back USAID.

"They're trying to use that as an extension of the Belt and Road Initiative to gain favor by the African countries," Langley said.

RFK believes pandemic lockdowns were more restrictive and oppressive than the Holocaust, that vaccines cause autism, and that tap water may be turning kids gay. But, sure, let’s question whether the “conspiracist” label applies because some countries in Europe don’t fluoridate their water.

Hypochloremia is associated with diuretic resistance. In 👇 study from Yale, hypochloremia was associated with poor diuretic efficiency (defined as mmol of UNa per doubling of loop diuretic dose). Of note - serum sodium was NOT associated with diuretic efficiency #cardiosky

Raw milk is STILL responsible for more hospitalizations than any other food-borne disease source. Before standard/widespread pasteurization, (raw) milk was responsible for 1/4 of all infectious disease outbreaks in the US in the 1930s and caused 1/10 of tuberculosis deaths.
