The album cover for Ennio Morricone's End of the Game highlights his mysterious 1975 cult noir score, blending melancholic melodies with wild funky tunes and featuring the vocals of Edda Dell'Orso.

I’ll die on the hill that digital purchases shouldn’t be legally allowed to be deleted, removed from user access, etc because at that point that isn’t purchasing a game or product but rather renting it Once you digitally buy a game or media you should get to forever own your copy no matter what

Some clever people have added the lightgun arcade game COPS (based on the infamous TV show) to the Hypseus emulator. It features an interactive, animated bezel and an LED info bar at the bottom as well as independent laserdisc and music CD feeds. Quite an impressive feat. I’m running it on MacOS.

Totally kickass ad poster for the criminally underrated Colony Wars on PlayStation 1.
Colony Wars ad poster is bordered in red. Artistically rendered chained hands reach for the sky while space ships fly overhead. In the background a mysterious figure’s outline looms ominously among the stars. “Cry Freedom” is printed in bold yellow lettering along the bottom. The game’s screenshots, title copy, and ad copy are featured under the poster art.

This issue of VIDEO marks the very first appearance of the first recurring column on home video games to feature in a nationally distributed consumer-focused magazine. The column was called Arcade Alley, written by Bill Kunkel and Arnie Katz, and would continue to run until the August 1984 issue.
Image shows the cover of the Summer 1979 issue of VIDEO magazine. There is a fit woman in a gold bikini kneeling on some grass in a tropical setting. She is holding a mobile camcorder to highlight the advanced state of the art camera technology for the time. On the left side of the cover, article summaries are printed in bold white text. Vacation With Video is the featured article.

Probably a small niche of interest here, but for what it’s worth iCode’s Arcade Spinner Ultimate works with zero configuration on Arkanoid vs Space Invaders+ on iOS Apple Arcade. Hold yellow button to move vertically, hold blue button to move horizontally. If you tinker I bet there’s better configs.
