Here's the BRR Arcade gashapon capsule-style lever top in both M and S. I think my hands need an XL to try.

The MtG Fractured Reality prerelease last night was awesome. I went 2-1-0 because my final matchup was too tired to play so I took a tie and played a friend. My deck turned early drops into 4/4 trample bests and tried to out-value my opponents.

No one is *forcing* anyone to do a shitload of recomps. Recomps are great, but the whole point of them isn't to just have an assembly line to pump out poor quality ones just to have them; it's a way to preserve older games, understand them better, and make them more accessible to new audiences.

I picked up a sealed Ice Age Magic the Gathering starter deck like it's 1995.

That fantastic X-Men arcade Sega Saturn port got another update, this time with Colossus.

I might actually prefer the SNES version of Turtles in Time to the arcade version except for the lack of a 4-player mode.

This should be easy compared to some of the play testing she's been doing lately.

I don't always play on CRTs or arcade cabinets.

I haven't skated since high school but I bought myself a cruiser to skate with my kid. RIP ☠️

Phase shifting these disparate VDPs with different horizontal and vertical resolutions until the overlay was perfect with the real PCB.

One of the fun things about emudev is sometimes a 2 line change can have pretty dramatic effects. Here's Motocross Championship after a small, but important fix to the cmp/hs SH2 instruction

My daughter's friend complimented @retrofrog.bsky.social's bullet lever tops when they were playing Neo Bomberman this past weekend. "These feel cool!"

Fallen Empires was a much maligned Magic the Gathering set. However, it came out at the height of my friend group's Magic craze, and for that, it still holds a place in my heart.

As a kid, I remember really disliking the look of Super Mario All-Stars the first time I saw it on a friend's SNES and I think I know why. It has way too much visual noise, especially with the backgrounds. The sky gradient also didn't match the style well.

I picked up a 27" 240hz 1440 OLED for the Qanba 2009 because it's a better size and easier to rotate than the 32" I tried on here before. 1440 was perfect for MiSTer.

The new Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender movie coming out in October has some of the best 2D animation I've ever seen. I can't believe they cancelled the theatrical release. It's the only Avatar spin-off to do the original justice.

In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try." Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
