I disagree. Enforcing a little friction (scrolling a page) forces consumers to stay mindful of the presence of AI content. Enabling a single checkbox carries the implication that that checkbox is reliable; which it is not.

I get the sentiment, but taken too far this leads to what I call "nostalgia fetishization" — intentionally doing things the "ye old" way out of blind faith to an aesthetic without understanding why it was done, how to do it well, and to the detriment of a game as it is in the present.

The problem with #genAI is that programmers draw a very important distinction between the technology itself and the financial bubble and creatives conflate them constantly. In a field like #gamedev where the two meet, arguments and friction ensue. It's frustrating -- how can we even bridge this gap?
