On this day of 9/11, I want to LOUDLY SAY: I love my muslim neighbors. I love the good our local mosque does for the whole community. In fact, it's high time I get to know them better and show them the support they deserve.

We're in a whole political moment that's largely about white guys being upset that social norms were starting to make them have to be aware of and respect other people's boundaries. Kind of awkward to be defiantly on the side of "I'll say whatever I want no matter how harmful; you can't stop me."

I wanna point out that to a lot of people, "allergy" and "poison" are synonyms. So just imagine how it feels when people around you don't care enough not to shove poison in your face. Actual, can-kill-you poison. And then they call you dramatic for getting intense about it. Fucks sake

A woman was shot in the fucking face by an agent of the state but OH NO, DISABILITIES!!!!! Why are we trying to judge whether or not random young women are disabled when there are actual issues??? Which includes albelism and accessibility, by the way. Those are real issues as well.

It's not yuck. It's hard and heavy and maybe people can't always carry other people, but it's not yuck. We can't talk about ourselves like we're gross contagious things, that's ablism's rhetoric. When I let the right people help, often we both feel better. That's community.

The disability community needs allies. We need people to understand we’re in the middle of a eugenicist cull. When Dr Fauci publicly declared the vulnerable would “fall by the wayside”, he was fueling the fire. He deemed people like me expendable Acceptable casualties to achieve “back to normal”

Rooting for you. I was told by lawyers when I was applying that at this point the rejections are automatic, the appeal is a normalized part of the process. Which is really fucked. But it also means you still have a strong chance.

I look forward to the day when we can accept a person's gender identity with the same air as accepting a person's favorite color. Where ALL accessibility aides are as normalized as glasses, the most common. Mamdani gives me hope for that future. The rest of the government, not so much.

I have 3 days to raise $900 or the eviction process starts. The housing navigator I was working with ended up not being super helpful and gave me contradictory advice, so now I'm scrambling like mad to try and stay housed.

And if you need an edit done later this year and want to book now, please let me know.
