@godotengine.org @akien.bsky.social @coppolaemilio.com is there a reason the 4.8-dev7 release doesn't include a Linux x86-64 release? Download 404s, and I don't see it in the GitHub release. It has a fix I would love to test. downloads.godotengine.org?version=4.8&... github.com/godotengine/...

You may want to consider back porting: Horde now has a UE_HORDE_PREFLIGHT_CL envvar. Using UAT CLI args you can pull -set:PreflightChange= but that is likely to go away or at least be deprecated in UE6 as we move towards C# BuildGraph. github.com/EpicGames/Un... #UnrealEngine

@coppolaemilio.com @godotengine.org @godot.foundation just a heads up: There is a discrepancy between godotengine.org and fund.godotengine.org with regards to the platinum sponsors. Battlefield is listed on one but not the other.
A screenshot of the credits section of fund.godotengine.org on the left and the sponsored by section of godotengine.org on the right. The fund.godotengine.org screenshot on the left includes a logo for Battlefield studio under the platinum header while the platinum header of godotengine.org does not include that same logo.

If you work with #BuildGraph for #UnrealEngine then do check this out. You can now define OptionalRequires on nodes. If those dependencies fail the node will still run. If they pass then the output artifacts will be downloaded as expected. Super excited to see this land in ue5-main.

Made a change to UGS to make it clearer that UGS can generate a P4Config file. Unless you had that set you wouldn't even know this was a feature of UGS. Hoping more devs can learn about it this way. Super useful to have for IDEs. #UnrealEngine github.com/EpicGames/Un...

@mitsuhiko.at been looking at your VibeTunnel GitHub project and was curious, why do you only have Claude run tests on request? Why would you not want it running tests when it is done work to verify tests still pass?

The pattern parser is great. Recently had to do some work on a system that wasn't using Loki for the logs storage, and it made me once again really appreciate how fast Loki is, and how great the pattern parser is.

It makes me chuckle seeing so much space lost to just the filesystem existing... the first personal file server I built at home was made of smaller disks than I am losing just to the filesystem.

I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why a function call was magically optimized out. Even in debug. It turns out the previous line was a comment, and the end line was \r instead of \r\n (somehow??) and Visual Studio displayed that normally, but MSVC considered it's not an end of line 🤣

#UnrealEngine upgrading their Horde build systems from 5.4 to 5.5 note the following: When using the CreateArtifact task in BuildGraph it was previously optional to specify the Change and Type parameters. It is no longer the case. Only really an issue if your project is 5.4 and Horde is 5.5.
