Sentinel Creatives decided to do a preorder for the ebook of Devilry in Godling Wood: A Medieval Horror. It’s on Amazon now: mybook.to/devilry
The cover of Devilry in Godling Wood, featuring a man in a monk’s habit riding a chimerical hybrid of horse and pig, with a dragon curling around the mount’s cloven hooves.

Question for the hive mind: I saw modern car thief technique depicted in a Danish crime flick called THE QUIET ONES (2024). Has "carhacking" been shown in other movies and TV shows lately?

PUSH THE WALL by Frank Miller This memoir isn't very good, unfortunately, but I think the failure says something positive about Miller as a person. He simply isn't enough of a self-absorbed jackass to succeed at this particular genre.

It’s worse than this. Having been in the room with many of them (long ago, before I knew they were psychopaths), the tycoons who are left running the industry have an active contempt for ordinary people, including their own workers. They actively want to oppress, control and punish them.

Lawrence of Arabia was an adventurer, an author, a warrior, a translator of Homer, and was considered a legend in his own lifetime. But how did this man, with all his accomplishments, view himself? As a failed artist. (He would've liked to have been a sculptor.) It's a funny old world, ain't it?

It's been a rocky year for my writing, but I am making an effort that even if the day sucks, I will write something. This is how I operated from 2020 until 2025. It's easy to say no, I'm not in the headspace. But it helps to write. It's healthy to write. Even if only for a few minutes.

Trump voters love Trump because he tells them explicitly that the system has failed, and makes it okay to be a criminal. It's why evidence of his many crimes doesn't dissuade them. His crimes are why they vote for him. His crimes make their crimes permissible.

One cool side effect of hanging out with so many readers at PulpFest is that I have a renewed desire to write! Even if someone doesn't want to read what I wrote, I take a lot of comfort in people who just really fricking like to read. They exist. Hold on tight. Keep writing.

I love the graphic novel ODYSSEUS THE REBEL by Steven Grant and Nolan's THE ODYSSEY for the same reason: both artists take a classic story and make it entirely their own. This gets me thinking: You know what I would spend a magic wish on? A film of THE ODYSSEY by John Milius. It would be awesome.
