A Red Squirrel peers over a mossy log, looking straight into the camera with wide, dark eyes and tall, tufted ears standing upright. Its reddish-brown fur and bright white chest are sharply lit against a softly blurred woodland background, giving it a charmingly surprised expression.

"ADHD label risks lifelong harm to children." If you don't label the disorder, then what we will be labelled instead is "Lazy." "Underachiever." "Doesn't live up to their potential." "Bad student." Those labels come with pain, shame, and abuse. The ADHD label comes with a chance for support.

A curious otter named Steve has his head poking into a carved pumpkin floating in a shallow, rocky stream, while two other otters swim nearby inspecting it.

A fascinating editorial decision from the BBC, to make the headline a scaremongering “AUTISM AND ADHD ARE BEING OVERDIAGNOSED”, and then, four bullet points later, have the author of the report quoted as essentially saying “nah, that’s bullshit, actually”.
ADHD and autism at risk of over-diagnosis, says report, as author warns of rise in mental ill health
Summary
• An official review in England finds there is a risk of people being over-diagnosed with
ADHD and autism - three key findings from the report
• As well as neurodevelopmental conditions, the review looks at mental ill health, particularly in younger people. Our health correspondent explains the difference
• It was commissioned earlier this year after Wes Streeting, then the health secretary, said there was an "over-diagnosis" of mental health conditions
• Speaking to Radio 4's Today programme earlier, review chair Prof Peter Fonagy said Streeting was "with respect, completely wrong"

Like clockwork, after the recent spate of suspiciously well-timed articles in the media stigmatising disability - mostly from transphobic talking heads, I might add - the government concludes people don't actually have autism or ADHD. All part of a coordinated establishment attack on the disabled.
