Granted when I visited them, the heat was intense, but not all encompassing. I walked around in that heat like it was nothing, just like the summers here. Even rescued a dog from a house fire there, which was it's own intense heat. But that's a completely different story for a different rant.

My cousins from Nevada used to visit in the summer and bitch about how hot it was. We'd tell them it's 20° cooler here than their state. They'd always say dry heat isn't as brutal when compared to how humid it is the the Appalachians. To me, it still sounds like they were just being babies.

I've been watching car chase videos all day. It tingles nostalgia from little Ree watching Fox back in the day when all they had was Married With Children, the Simpsons, and "World's Craziest (insert man made disaster)".
