On this day I’m thinking of all residential school survivors - my aunties and uncles and grandparents and in particular but also Phyllis Webstad, the founder of the Orange Shirt Society whose memoir I wrote the foreword for - check it out!
![image is a drawing of an anthropomorphic Iron Leaves [a pokemon scarlet and violet]. it is seen here wearing thin white and green coat. the coat has plant decals and text written on it, such as "SOJ 2.0" and "Environmental Restoration Project". There is a small display on the front of the coat's shoulder cape reading a battery charge. Caladium plants are growing on the shoulders of the coat. Iron Leaves is wearing a dark zipped crop top, tattered scarf, and pants underneath. On its hip is a Booster Energy. Vibrant rose-thorn vines line the backs of elbow-length gloves, as well as hang from the coat and belt loops. They glow pink. An ID tag featuring Miraidon's silhouette hangs from their chest. There's a sheathed sword hanging from their hip. There is text in the background. The top reads: "Afforestation Project", "Psyblade, Quark Drive 30-50". Bottom reads: "Iron Leaves #1010. Grass, Psychic.", "Sword of Justice 2.0". Signature reads Godbirdart 2024 #pokemon #furry #furryart](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:4wlkcsqs2qwbiwodvxkssfw4/bafkreieip5hyz6rk2xv6jece6vos5mbirxtidixyi6yqydgjov3o2hccuy)
