To verify images, digital forensics investigators will often check whether the geometry of the scene is realistic. In a real photo, lines that run parallel in reality—like floor tiles—should meet at a single vanishing point. In this image, however, the dotted lines do not meet in a single point, indicating it is a fake.

I don't remember which one it was, but some dev of some older racing game once included "stats" for 4 available cars in the game, like speed, handling - ALL of the cars were 100% the same, but players insisted they handle differently because "the stats say so". I love that.

I think the most interesting thing to take away from this for me is that -as you'll hear me say in a lot of talks- our job as game devs is to be really good liars. Putting that wind cone up is a brilliant lie - it suggests winds well enough that players will read the physics wonkiness as wind.
