He shouldn’t have given oil companies that money. It went mostly to rich companies. just turned them into spoiled brats who now want taxpayers to pay for their cleanup obligations while they make so much money. The oil companies Are now running Alberta

How much emissions are you finding come from low producing oil wells that are producing a lot of produced water stored in a heated holding tank? Never much talk talk about produced water so I am curious to learn more

The Chief of Staff of Alberta's Energy Minister claims (on X) that his (UCP) government has been responsible for increasing the orphan levy. If this is true, isn't that government interference in the regulator? Marciano is government staff, he doesn't work for the AER... #ABLeg #ABPoli

You were the first fellow I stumbled upon when I finally figured out what was happening to my family as a landowner hosting O&G. We‘ve never met but you set me on a path to meet some incredible people. Can’t say things are better but at least I’m not feeling so alone.

This actually affects the taxpayer the most and the ndp had their chance to fix it and they didn’t. So as far as I’m concerned ALL political parties have failed the TAXPAYER- and I can’t stand the UCP but it’s time to look at things for what they are

That’s why rural Albertan’s suffer in silence because of the insulting comments. Many of these UCP ridings either no one else was running or they Didn’t show up at town halls etc. it sounds more like a way to turn our backs on fellow Alberta’s using victim blaming

We collectively need to stop referring to the Alberta Energy Regulator as “seen by many as a captured agency” and just say “a captured agency.” Same goes for police boards that have demonstrated their capture time and time again.

the little companies run their wells on the cheap, the AER doesn’t enforce the rules on them because they don’t want to “create financial strain” on them and who cares if they are poisoning the landowner.
