The Crunchyroll Store, but instead of the dead-eyed fashion models, it's Homer Simpson with Lisa in her Floreda costume

I'm overwhelmingly fond of kaiju suits that think outside of the humanoid box, like Pestar (two suit actors holding hands) or Twin Tail (face by the feet, performer sees out of the tail).

Pestar, a bat head joined by two starfish shaped wings

i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

This show, FLCL, and Bobobo are all directly responsible for the “lol so random & wacky!” reputation of anime that American/European cartoon writers had back in the 2000’s After watching any five minutes of Excel Saga, you’ll see why that particular brand of anime humor eventually died out.

A coworker used the word r______d in casual conversation in our office. After exiting the office but still where others could hear me, I told him that although I know the word has made a huge comeback, it's still a slur and an HR violation and I had better not hear it again. Haven't heard it since.

sadie's insane text messages on discord read:
CHAT, I'VE MADE AN INSANE FUCKING DISCOVERY.
I'M REWARCHING THR DARKSTALKERS OVA.
...which is peak by the way
AND THE END CREDITS COME UP, AS USUAL

"the trouble man" by ekichi yazawa
it's a rock song to be paired with the darkstalkers characters plastered on guitars because it's fucking cool, not terribly deep. cool rock song, cool visuals, all it wanted to be.
BUT EIKICHI YAZAWA DIDN'T WRITE THE SONG on his own

andrew gold helped. (photo credit of the writerz being listed on genius)
and do you know what fucking song he wrote a year before in 1996?

I thought this Tiga ultrakaiju being named Gazort would be the funniest thing about it, until the subtitles repeatedly informed me that it was a fusion of lifeforms known as the Clitters.

Gazort, a Kaiju that looks like a bipedal stingray with sharp teeth. "the Clitters that lived in the ionosphere absorbed too many electromagnetic waves and merged to form Gazort"
