As devs don't make any real effort to fight against the normalization of AI in game development ("oh I hate it for graphics but I use it for coding!"), it's going to become prestigious amongst players to play old games made before the 2020s and make a point not to play/seek new games.

The bigger thing people need to realize from this is that inflation is what causes the rise of costs, but a higher minimum wage, universal health and child care make these prices a lot easier to swallow and justifiable. I haven’t bought a game at $70 since 2020, and I can’t do that again. I won’t.
