Started working on two new input types for Fragment over the weekend Link will look just like a button but use the correct html tag so you don't have to do weird bits to link to something A prop with params.options will be able to render either to a select (current behaviour) or a radio group

For long I wanted to make a gradient texture tool with Fragment since Figma is pretty bad at it. But for that I needed a proper Color Ramp GUI. After a few struggles, it's in the latest version of Fragment and I wrote a few words about it

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a guy is running upstairs in a house, looking somewhat panicked. Panel 2: he opens the bedroom door. With a blank expression, he pauses. In his thought bubble, gears are turning. Panel 3: inquisitively, he thinks to himself, “why did I come upstairs again?” Behind him, crawling up the stairs in pursuit is a horrifying ghoulish monster with a long body and many legs.

Making progress... - keystroke trigger onchange(15 + 1 = 16) through props - value changes the order of inputs, so I'm losing focus - onblur evaluates event.currentTarget.value (which is still 15) as a number and trigger onchange(15) → last value changes is not applied, focus is lost

Svelte help needed 👋 I'm building a Gradient input for Fragment and I'm running into issues. When in focus of an input in a list, I want to reorder that list based on gradients stops but when two stops have the same values, the UI freezes if I'm in focus. See how it breaks at the end?

Happy ten year anniversary to the npm left-pad incident to those who celebrate 🥂

npm left-pad incident

On March 22, 2016, programmer Azer Koçulu took down the left-pad package that he had published to npm (a JavaScript package manager). Koçulu deleted all his packages after a dispute with Kik Messenger, in which the company forcibly took control of the package name kik. As a result, thousands of software projects that used left-pad as a dependency, including the Babel transcompiler and the React web framework, were unable to be built or installed. This caused widespread disruption, as technology corporations small and large, including Facebook, PayPal, Netflix, and Spotify, used left-pad in their software products.
