OTD in 2009, #DavidMazzucchelli released the masterful #AsteriosPolyp. Rarely has so much thought been put into the storytelling potential of color and shape in a graphic novel. This book is stunning visually and philosophically, and I need to read it again. #IHadThatComic

#IHadThatComic: June 24, 1976 #All-StarComics 62 - This one scared the crap out of me. I was 7, and not prepared for #KeithGiffen and #WallyWood 's horrific rendering of Zanadu. And it ended with #PowerGirl seemingly dying in quicksand, which, I'm not the 1st to point out, was a major 70s fear.

#IHadThatComic: June 15, 1976 #Avengers 151 - Ground Zero for my #comics obsession. This issue featured pretty much every character in the Marvel universe, and I was fascinated by such a connected world. Some heroes were only mentioned, and I drew them in (terrible) costumes of my own design.
