Video games are rad because there are more great games than anyone could ever finish, yet there will still be a guy with a tattoo of Vector the Crocodile who does nothing but grind thousands of hours of Sonic Heroes speedruns. And deep down, you know that guy is a realer one than you will ever be.

If you did end up doing it, you could've contacted them to get the money back or a small freebie, I'm getting a carrier bag sent heehoo But you have to actively request it yourself. I love my thor a lot but they kinda drop the ball with this specific bit of service

DHL is a fake option anyway. They stopped using DHL because it had issues getting through customs or something It already was when I ordered it back in march, they really should remove the option

They were never a beacon of UI design but the past 3, 4 Assassins Creed games have all had the exact same sauceless UI and it makes me so sad

Cool event! Sad that Steam hasn't budged on the 'Fake OS' tag front, which would make finding similar games like this a lot easier. It would also fit nicely for diegetic UI experiences like Demon Dust (store.steampowered.com/app/3080050/...) and Highfleet (store.steampowered.com/app/1434950/...)

yknow i have to keep reminding myself the average gamer isn't like you or me but in fact it's a ball and gun gamer who thinks playing fallout 4 is 'trying out a lesser known classic' in the same vein we talk some european or japanese rpg game from the 90s that only 2 people you follow have heard of

That would be Birth By Sleep, 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage and 3! Unfortunately KH kind of is the type of game where playing games in release order is pretty necessary, especially in the spinoff miasma between 2 and 3

Seconding the Quintet games that I love dearly! My suggestions might be a bit of a stretch, but for your consideration: If you like the parrying part of the later Ys games, Sekiro combat is hard but really satisfying. Also Kingdom Hearts 2 has some of the sickest ARPG combat? For no reason?

One thing I did miss in Chronicles was how Book 1 and 2 has some monsters just be really huge for no reason like the mouth guys in the mines. Seeing one of those for the first time freaked me out lol

"why are younger gamers disinterested in following premium console game releases like I was at their age" can be partly answered by the fact that if you were a PS2 owner in the 2000s you had 3-6 of the best games ever made come out annually, and since 2020 the PS5 has 3-4 big sequels and little else
