I love making cosplay pieces for my kids. Really happy how this one turned out.

Walking your kid through a tough & painful decision at 1 am in the morning is the part of parenting nothing prepares you for. But getting to be the ear they want to tell, and the shoulder that they want to lean on & cry on is the utmost privilege - one I’ll never take for granted. Love them so much.

This is not where I was hoping to be exactly 2 months later. The stomach bug I’ve been dealing with for 72 hours has messed up stuff with the meds I’m on. I’m likely to be admitted to get some meds onboard that will resolve it. And, it’s Kid 3’s birthday today. I’m feeling really down and sad.

Slowly but surely I'm starting to feel better. It's gorgeous outside today in the PNW. Walked to my favorite coffee shop to work. Energy is slowly returning. I'm now solidly under 250 lbs (247 this morning). The Artemis II crew continues to make me cry and feel all the feelings. There's your update.

4 weeks ago today, I stopped by an urgent care because I thought I had pulled a muscle. Well…I kinda did. An important one. Turns out I had a full blockage in a vein on the outer part of my heart. So yeah…I got to add heart attack to my resume.

My mom goes into surgery tomorrow morning to have a cancerous tumor from her tongue. It will be a VERY long recovery where she’ll likely not be able to talk for several months. If you could send up a prayer or good thought for her, we’d appreciate it. Fuck cancer.
