In life David Lynch was known widely for being the absolute king of weird beard arthouse filmmakers. In death, he is known mostly for his kindness, work ethic, and just being an all around rad person that made films HIS way. And I absolutely love that. What a legacy. Rest in peace, king.

This is what Dietrich Bonhoeffer condemned as “cheap grace”, the idea that were forgiven our sins and then we do whatever we like. While some might interpret that as a license to indulge in booze or sex or whatever, don’t forget that pride, malice, and cruelty towards others are sins.

Bluesky is the void I scream into. Today, I heard a sermon on the…well, the Sermon on the Mount, which of course starts with the Beatitudes (“Blessed are the…”) I see none of the commandments of Christ in the Trump Administration, yet they claim that they do what they do for God.

Bulma is so much more likable in both the subsequent and previous story arcs, and she hardly did anything in the Saiyan Arc, but her grieving over Yamcha was genuinely moving. Android Arc Bulma made suits, and tools, and all while taking care of Baby Trunks! Course correction, much?

I’m rewatching the Namek saga and Good Lord! I forgot how poorly Bulma is written in this arc. All she does after they lift off is complain and whine. Bulma wasn’t this annoying in the original Dragon Ball where she was a literal teenager! Maybe the worst character assassination in the series!

We definitely had some listenable Christian music when I was a teenager(some of which I still enjoy), but that was the Aughts. The only popular Christian music I know of from the 2010 came from…a certain church that got into some trouble a couple years back.
