Why "steam"? Because the game takes place during the a steampunkified-version of the Industrial Revolution, when steam was not only the engine for power, but also force of will, manifest. Why "spite"? Because here, in spite of your enemies, the more damage you take, the stronger you become.

Additionally, if one is interested in exploring these other thinkers who understood and theorized communism in ways that went beyond the popular Marxist-Leninist (and by extension Maoist) school of thought, I’d recommend reading Rosa Luxembourg or Karl Kautsky.

To provide context, there are many classical communists who were critical of the ML system this graphic depicts and would would not recognize the middle section as viably communist. These folks disputed the idea of a vanguard party and dictatorship of the prole.

I can't stop thinking about how I want to make a ttrpg that completely changes the mechanics by which your character is played depending on their "class"; I'll do it if I can figure out how to not make it a nightmare for the DM.

I don't even know what "roguelike" means and at this point I'm too afraid to ask. I'd literally prefer people use comparisons to musical suites and symphonies than over-used nebulous jargon.
