The 2026 line ran off the top of the Niño 3.4 chart, so Climate Reanalyzer had to raise the ceiling from 30°C to 31°C. Ocean temps in the heart of this El Niño are running about 3°C above the early October average and higher than any other year on record for this time of year.

For decades big city mayors have claimed that their policies don't create homelessness, unhoused people are coming from elsewhere. That lie has been used to justify increasingly draconian policies towards the unhoused. This unfortunately plays into that lie.

SCOTUS, over the liberals’ dissent, cleared the way for Tennessee to kill Christa Pike. The alarming order from DC was followed by even more disturbing developments in Tennessee.

Based on this reporting, Mayor Bass’s answer seems to be a series of non sequiturs
Once Bass took the stage, Cohen posed the Gaza question a second time, asking whether the mayor views the term genocide as appropriate.
"When I think of foreign affairs, especially conflicts, my focus is on how they impact the city of L.A. - and no, I don't," Bass
responded.
Bass said the schools she attended growing up had many Jewish students whose parents or grandparents were
Holocaust survivors.
"My job is to keep Angelenos safe, and I think there is a lot of divisiveness that happens, and I don't want to see that happen at all," she said.

ICE has abducted Senegalese WBB player Aminata Seck and won't release her. DHS 'policy' is to provide medical care to prisoners at intake, yet they admit to denying her care for an ACL injury for 1.5 months. The NCAA is letting it happen, despite its predatory recruitment of ICAs. We explain.

ICE has abducted a college athlete. What are the NCAA and universities going to do about it?
Aminata Seck’s detention shows the bargain facing international college athletes: universities eagerly recruit them, but support can disappear when their immigration status becomes precarious.
