There's been extensive research on floating bus stops, where cycle tracks pass bus stops on a main road. They need to be designed well - but the claims they're dangerous just don't match the evidence. Without them, cycling won't be inclusive & safe for everyone. www.standard.co.uk/news/london/...

A 12-year old cyclist is in hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Sandy Lane West, between Blackbird Leys and Littlemore. Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage of the collision, which involved a red car yesterday around 3.25pm.

I found being here in New Cross quite emotional earlier. The A2 is utterly grim for cycling. I'm angry that an experienced rider was killed through fault of her own, on a stretch of road identified as needing protected cycle lanes years ago. Can't help but think Irene won't be the last. Praying...
