Incredible work universe in setting it up today for a cinematic cycle with my neighbours to a community meeting. Managed to pass the @lewishamcyclists.bsky.social cargo bike (and rider) on the way out and then happen upon a @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk session packing up on the way back.

Having to leave the workspace where we have run a community cycle workshop for nearly a decade now. Delivering bike fixing, bike maintenance training, refurbishing old bikes and passing them on. All for those on lower incomes in the area. A few memories here.

Those who say 20mph/30kmh limits are only needed 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 are ignoring the fact that children don't live 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴. Children, and everyone else, need the protection of 20mph/30kmh limits on their whole cycling and walking route from home to school, shops, work and friends. It's why #20

I live in a suburban town, and when you gently suggest that perhaps drivers slow down, or, gasp, we install something like a speed hump on a street, drivers act like they've been personally insulted.
