Yesterday I learnt that not everyone sneezes when the sun suddenly shines on them. What do you mean??? Basically, because the optic and nasal nerves are so close together, they can get mixed up and apparently it only affects 18-35% of people. Hilariously, it's legit called ACHOO syndrome

I can see what everyone's doing by making the "have pensioners tried having less holidays etc" posts about ending the triple lock to fund benefits & social care, but pitting poor people against each other is what the government wants. It's what the government always wants.

When we talk about climate change in the UK we need to also talk about the extremes that aren't just heat. On the north east coast especially, we see extremes of rain, wind, cold and sun on a daily and weekly basis more than heatwaves, with disastrous effects.

Today is World Sepsis Day, in 20O7 I almost died of sepsis after a shaving cut got infected. Sepsis kills more people a year than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. One of the best ways to fight it is to learn the warning signs

Every six months without fail, I get a letter reminding me I'm overdue my cervical smear. I haven't had a cervix in 9 and a half years. I've spoken to everyone I possibly can, I'm not even on my GPs smear list. I have literally no idea how I stop this??

Livid that the assisted dying bill being voted down is being painted as religious zealots that all want people to die in agony. Everyone deserves to die in dignity, but they also deserve a robust bill with safeguards that reduces the chance of being coerced into it. That's what we fought for.

The Assisted Dying Bill's impact assessment confirmed that it lacks protections against coercion for disabled people. In a perfect world, everyone dying should be supported in death, but when disabled people aren't assisted to live, it can't be safe. #AssistUsToLive
