Another time I was out with friends and got separated from them/surrounded by a group of guys who were being particularly rowdy. One of the bartenders (who happens to be a friend) left his end of the bar, where he undoubtedly would have made good $ and stayed near me until they were gone.

Two of my guy friends here in town have been roofied because they drank the cocktails that the person slipping drugs into drinks thought were intended for their female friends. This shit happens all the time. At this point it isn’t shocking. It just hurts to know we might never be safe.

I think about this regularly when I’m out. The fact that these guys ended up being drugged because someone was targeting their friends and the fact that if they hadn’t been there and accidentally taken the bullet something truly horrendous might’ve happened.
