I hate it when you start a book that’s highly recommended and you 💕 the concept but you have to dnf for now because your brain’s like “nope. Not letting you read this as it’s not the correct vibe for the current reading mood. And no I won’t make it easy by telling you which mood you got right now.”

I binged Idol I! The childhood connection really sold it though it was another romance where I would have picked the best friend and not the crush 😆 The FL’ss chemistry with the 2ML was more evident than with the 1ML. Those kisses were super awkward. Despite that I enjoyed it!

I hate doing the "a rollback of trans rights is the gateway for a rollback of women's rights" thing because trans rights are human rights in and of themselves, whatever the impact on cis women. But goddamn I wish more cis women had a sense of history and self preservation.

You do not need to explain, to Queer or Black or Disabled people in America, that you can't always have a perfect thing. That is not news to us. You are not providing new information. It is the height of arrogance to assume that's not already part of our understanding of the world.

I had put it on pause because of how ridiculous it is but with the world now, an over the top HEA that makes the world better fits well

For your convenience, the Pride and Prejudice live-posting super-thread 📚

A drawing of Elizabeth Bennet, a lovely young woman with her long hair tied up nearly under a ribbon and wearing what is most likely a neo-classically inspired dress, looking pensive, two letters in her hand. Meanwhile Darcy, a handsome but stern-looking fellow, looks longingly at her. Also there is me, a little gremlin in big round glasses, skulking about in the background and hoping that they kiss.

The accompanying text reads “Trung reads Pride and Prejudice for the first time, somehow.”
