I got this book based solely on what was on the cover. That could have gone so many ways. But so delightful I giggled and gasped during after Christmas quiet reading time with the bf’s fam? Loaned it to a bazillion people who also loved it? That was an uncommonly good outcome. So cheers! 🫖 🎂

Roma tomato harvesting crew in Los Banos CA. It takes longer to fill a roma bucket vs round tomatoes, so the crew spends more time bent over, working in the hot, trapped humidity of the plant rows. The heat wears them out as they carry full 50lb buckets to the trailer. #WeFeedYou

Sweet potato workers are cleaning weeds out of fields in Merced CA. This is done so plants grows strong and no nutrients are lost. It was 95° with very little shade which makes the work even harder. Some weeds are so tough to remove that they require two people. #WeFeedYou
