Damn, actual empathy for people and encouraging work-life balance. Sounds incredible 😅

This great reporting demonstrates: (1) the necessity of passing the Stop Super Speeders Act (call Carl Heastie and say so); and (2) the contempt the NYPD holds for the idea that its law enforcement officers should abide by the laws they're ostensibly in charge of enforcing.

Not to cops (and other professions with strong unions like nurses) - they just get paid very well to work above the “maximum […] hours”… Unfortunately though, most other professions are salary exempt with no overtime

Overtime. Cops get paid very well - they are in a union after all. I believe there is a public database available somewhere too? If true, in theory, you could look it up 👀🔍

More likely, IMO, he just pays the fines. It is a crazy amount of money…

Search New York City parking & camera violations.

According to howsmydrivingny.nyc/jjtod348 the tickets are being paid, but if the officer is somehow getting these tickets marked as paid without *actually* paying them, I believe that would be a crime at that point… Some kind of fraud, right? Maybe try to FOIA the payment records to confirm it?

YouTube works in mysterious ways… this is what I see: It looks fantastic so far though - excited to watch it

Screenshot of the “Auto-translate” menu for closed captions shown on the YouTube video with “Esperanto” as an option but not “English”

Huh… I’ll try on a different platform and see. Thanks for confirming English works

It is weird because “automatic” translation works for like every language out there (including Esperanto(!!)), but English isn’t listed 🧐

Am I missing an option for English subtitles?

It’s not a nothing burger (though 1:25 comes close), but I was reminded of this: m.youtube.com/watch?v=7N-a... As good as Bareburgers can be, they don’t hold a candle to the food fight from Hook

It’s probably a nothingburger - they said hello to him at a UFC fight and (so he says) he had no idea who they were… I have not seen the clip personally though

I’m very much not a fan of Vickie, but less than one speeding camera ticket a year in that part of Queens is actually pretty reasonable - especially from her constituents’ perspective, who -unfortunately- predominantly drive. You’re better off tracking down records for her son’s Aston Martin instead

Many of the hospitals in NYC are public and I believe they (and *most* other hospitals) have already gotten to an agreement with the nurses union. Only a few holdouts from private hospitals… Others will have more information. Hopefully it gets resolved soon 🤞🏽

Today we had a performance of "HAKOTO" at GalGael. Hakoto a body worn digital musical instrument that reads environmental data from a tree leaf, uses it to calculate transpiration and photosynthesis rates and then presents the data in the form of procedurally generated music.

That I meant to do #20 for both prompts, but either way Mike Stanley never wore #13
