The humanities have been calling out genAI theft since the jump, while STEM has rallied around “discovery potential”. I am *ONCE AGAIN* reminding EVERYONE that science is not the sacred cow, STEM isn’t the exception. They are going to steal our IP, too. We aren’t special.

It’s a big problem that so many left leaning people in the USA don’t understand how our politics work or how political power is wielded. Give people hell about specific positions in the primaries. Rally around your side in the general election. Otherwise the other side gets power.

My buddy woke me up shortly after the first plane hit the WTC. We were listening to NPR when the second plane hit. We didn’t have TV (very rural) so I drove to my mom’s house in time to see the towers collapsing. I still want to know what the story was with the reports of car bombs in DC that day.

I hate the AI slop. I also hate that the recurrent weird peasant discourse has screwed up almost all reasonable discussion of the peasants, to the point where people feel the need to affirm that “yes the peasants were starving”, when mostly they were not.

I think the ultimate test of this is actually Boris Johnson. Boris *was fired from his first job* for making up stories, only to go on to be hired into a prestigious role at the Telegraph and spend years lying about the EU at Brussels. And I mean literally lying here; not bad punditry.

I cannot emphasise strongly enough that you should NOT be making submission using a third party that uses AI to generate text and then puts your name on it as a formal submission Never, ever, ever ever do this. Man, this is a total disaster in the works, I guarantee it. bsky.app/profile/cara...
I consent to NewsCord using my name, email and any postal address I have given to send these real submissions in my name. Each selected action is a real letter or official-form submission, not a petition signature.

How personalisation works. NewsCord runs a specialised, campaign-tuned language model that rewrites the campaign template into a constituent letter using only the inputs you have given on this page (your name, email, and any campaign-specific extras such as residence or postcode). The prompt sent to the model and the personalised letter it returns are not retained: they live only in memory long enough to send the email to the recipient and (for IPSO / BBC / Ofcom flows) to show you a preview to edit. The model is configured to preserve every sourced fact in the template verbatim, never invent claims, and never use your data for training.

IPSO (publishers: Daily Mail, The Times, The Telegraph, The Sun and The Spectator). IPSO (the Independent Press Standards Organisation) is the UK’s independent press regulator. By proceeding you are submitting a formal IPSO complaint in your name, citing Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors’ Code. Your name, email and the complaint body are sent to IPSO, processed under IPSO’s privacy policy, and may be shared with the publisher being complained about as part of IPSO’s process. IPSO will email you a verification link that you must click to confirm you are a legitimate complainant. Without that click the complaint is not formally processed. After verification, IPSO will write to you directly to acknowledge the complaint and to provide updates. Initial decisions typically take four to six weeks.

Newsroom editorial team(s). Your personalised email is sent on your behalf as a real representation to the recipient(s) listed on this page. Your name and email address appear in the From header so the recipient can reply to you directly. NewsCord uses Mailgun as the email-delivery provider (see Mailgun’s privacy polic…
