I recently discovered Charlie Puth - I had heard some of his songs on the radio w/o knowing who he was. But the album he released this year is super 90's pop coded and I am absolutely obsessed omg. Seems like a rad dude. Love listening to people be obsessively passionate about things.

I find it increasingly sad how difficult it is to have nuanced discussions and opinions. The internet is a cacophony of black and white thoughts. The reality is *most* people are much softer outside of this place. It's too easy to be mean or lack empathy when were not physically around somone.

Sat down on Saturday to chill and polish S07 stuff - ended up discovering a logic breaking bug that took me and entire day to fix. Bright side - I learned a lot more about debugging and making sure that I have proper stacktracing setup. Game Dev is awesome and sometimes kinda booty cheeks.

Video games and movies are 2 different things. I just don't understand how he doesn't see how unbelievably bloated and vapid the film is. Like don't get me wrong - it's fun. But it's not a good movie. There are no arcs, no real narrative. No real themes or ideas. It's a bunch of colors and noise.

When I see people complain about the open world Zelda games wanting a return to the old formula...do you think the design team wasn't utterly burnt out from having to use the same template for 20 years? Town > Dungeon > Item etc. Skyward Sword was clearly a breaking point creatively.

Real Time with Pause mechanics going the way of static camera / tank controls is unfortunate. I understand why 3rd person cameras and turned based combat is more common now because they're user friendly. But it's still sad to see viable / interesting design solutions leave purely for ease of use.
