You are one of the kindest souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and your writing is just so poignant and lovely. Thank you again for thinking of me and for writing about me so much more graciously than I often think of myself! ❤️

Always a pleasure to celebrate those who are comfortable in their own skin, however they wear it and show it. #poemsabout #spectacle #PrideMonth2025 @alanparry82.bsky.social @brokenspinearts.bsky.social #Keep Creative #PoetsSupportPoets #PoetsofBlueSky #OpenMinded #OpenHearted #ReadShareComment 🏳️‍🌈

Pageantry in the Pantry (for Preston)

My friend bakes
reimagined creamy grandmother cakes

and pans full of home-cooked love
his husband samples with pleasure.

My friend wears longs wigs,
also eyeshadows of purple and pink

even shares secret tips
for having the best penciled eyebrows.

My friend writes poetry
with images like junkyard love child

and

I wish I could kiss him in person
instead of with social media emojis

that just don’t capture
my admiration, my respect,

my joy for who he is -
My friend, a babe in full bloom.

Moving to Chicago was the best thing for me and my relationship, but I get such bad FOMO about all of the fun events that happen in LA 😩 like one of my favorite artists is doing a one-off concert in LA, and if I still lived there, I’d be there SO fast omg
