📱 | Northern Minnesota (2024) Steeped in morning mist #WeekOForOpaque #AlphabetChallenge

Square photograph showing a mist-shrouded lake at dawn, framed by dark pine foliage in the lower corners. Across the top, a sharp band of burnt orange and cadmium yellow sky sits behind a dark silhouette of tall pines, while the center dissolves into a thick veil of cool grey and muted mauve fog that obscures soft, vertical tree reflections on the water's surface. Below, the mist transitions into light washes of pale rose and lavender where water and air blur together, creating a composition anchored by the strong horizontal tree line and balanced by diagonal foreground branches—a visual narrative of the brief pause at daybreak before warmth displaces the cool morning vapor.

A man in a yellow jacket walks down a path in a city park on a drizzly gray morning. The glow of an old fashioned street lamp is visible through the autumnal leaves on a tree.

Good morning, Layla 👋

When I posted a similar photo on Sunday, @mad7500.bsky.social asked about the pavers. So, I returned for a closer look this week. The metal pavers (pictured upside down here) are tributes and memorials to friends of the gardens. #PalacesandGardens #LastWords

A brick path, interspersed with brass memorial plates, is flanked by garden beds. In the distance is a bench and gazebo. A freestanding column is in the garden bed on the right.

Yes, I am not sure what to think of that. But it would be nice to see Adobe lower (or at least, not raise) their subscription prices.

I understand it's not yet perfected, but since I don't have a Photoshop subscription and don't know how to use it anyway, I thought I might try it.

#ECK #PostProcess Original photo by @rjrock.bsky.social Admittedly not very #abstract, since you can still tell it's a building. Cropped, fiddled with color, removed human elements in Lightroom, added "paper" overlay in Photoshop Express. By the way, has anyone tried the ArtCraft suite yet?

Exterior office a modern building with a mesh-like texture above a ground floor bank of floor to ceiling windows.

I think so too. Hope you had a good Wednesday, Viktoriay!

Bay Area folks, let's try this again! I'm thinking November 7, 8, 14 or 15 at whatever they renamed Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley. Hopefully, the burrowing owls will be back. Open to other ideas. Let me know what works! #ECK #EastCoastKin #photography #PhotographersUnited #PhotographersOfBlueSky

A photo of the San Francisco skyline and Bay photographed from Cesar Chavez Park in Berkeley. There's a sail boat with an orange and yellow sail in the middle. Text on the photo says, "Bay Area Photo Outing. Let's pick a date!"

Many of these squirrels in the park are very sociable at times. Other times they can't be bothered with humans!

Yes, the top is fancy. I wish I could find photos of how the building originally looked.
