Great to see this bin yard transforming. I was there litter picking a few weeks ago - a lot of what was dumped was landlord waste. Hopefully the planters and a growing local interest and awareness about the yard will deter future waste dumping there

I'm currently dealing with this problem with my parents. It's hard to explain that no I don't want that random china thing that my great grandmother had as I'd never use it, and I don't need a particular piece of furniture because I already have one in my own home But I did accept these bottles
Three art deco bottles - probably perfume holders? - that are 10 - 15 cm high and range from tall and thin to beautifully bulbous and rounded. The tallest is blue, the other two are clear glass with art deco metal moulding on their outsides. All three are sitting on a beech wood bookcase in front of some books

It doesn't even have to be a steam train I was on a standard train on the Settle-Carlisle recently, and as we crossed Ribblehead viaduct we waved at the hikers and they waved back at us. The steam train does make it extra special though!

The butterflies were being super helpful for this morning's count; a Speckled Wood and a White both flew into the house as a reminder to me to go out and count the back garden. Then I saw these three who provided a reminder of the value of dandelions in a garden
