I opposed Newsom’s bid for mayor of SF and still don’t care for him. His “Care Not Cash” platform just felt like “Kill The Poor, Coddle The Tech Bros” and I haven’t found much that’s changed my view on that, though he obviously gained widespread support in SF with his stance on Marriage Equality.
