An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Alone in his home, the man known as Hengxin continued to keep his secret - the altar of his most beloved friend, one that could summon his physical self whenever he spoke his name.

Yaoxuan had been uncomfortable with the exaggerations (he didn’t have that large an army, really). The two friends continued to play chess and share stories - though Yaoxuan’s was more exciting, and much more dangerous.

What Hengxin knew deep down was that his brazier would be aglow for when Yaoxuan needed him, to light a path home for him if he needed help.

Every deity needed their believers, and he would be Zhong Kui’s first and most devout follower. He didn’t need Yaoxuan to become a legend - because to him, Zhong Kui was his only god.

Destiny Liminal wasn't always Destiny Liminal.

Once upon a time, it was codenamed Divine Lineage, a project hatched by two scientists who had learnt that they couldn't conceive naturally. Yowon and Jingoo, a lovingly married couple, had wanted a child of their own, and after several failed IVF attempts, Jingoo, a well-known geneticist would merge his mind with Yowon, a skilled toxologist, to doctor the perfect embryo, one who they felt could accept any divine portfolio when it came down to that.

This however came at the objections of Miran, Jingoo's colleague and an accomplished archaelogist who'd uncovered the first traces of Giwon's existence. Miran, terrified of the divine backlash, would then spend the rest of her life chasing, then being imprisoned, for trying to undo what the couple had unleashed upon the world.

Yowon would carry her child to full term - one that had been carefully engineered to be perfect in every conceivable way, yet a clean slate that could still be easily molded into the child the couple wanted so badly. To that, the codename "Divine Alpha-Zero Zero" would be but a footnote in their research, and to the outside world, this child was but their son Jehoon, one that they'd taken so long to finally receive.

Times would change when Jehoon turned seven - the military, having finally ran out of patience with Jingoo and Yowon, would take matters into their own hands. Both would be assassinated in their own laboratory, a large portion of their research stolen by the Sunsun cult in a bid to raise their own personal army of demigod weapons that were malleable and heeded their every word...except that there was one crucial concept missing, which was a way to stabilise the experiments themselves.
