Hello, hi, got yourself a copy of Lentic yet? Do grab one from the Guillemot Press website. It’s the first thing I’ve published in five long years and I’d love for it to find readers (and reviewers, if you do that sort of thing 👀).
Image shows copies of Lentic by Naush Sabah arranged on bright pink tissue paper and guarded by a very cute white and grey kitty.

A serendipitous find today on the banks of the Clyde! @ravoon.bsky.social
A clump of poppies on rough ground, builders' paraphernalia strewn here and there, tree-lined river bank in the background, all viewed through the wire mesh of a metal barricade.

I lost my beloved mum last month, so it feels timely to see a fragment of my poem 'FLOURISH' in this new poetry prescription from @poetrypharmacy.bsky.social "For the gentle contemplation of mortality, the making of peace with impermanence and of what remains". Thanks to Deborah Alma for asking. ❤️‍🩹

So glad to have got to Stody Lodge Gardens on the last public open day of the year. Highlights included bracket fungus on a gnarly old tree, walking through shady and ferny woods, seeing dragonflies and lily pads in the Azalea Water Garden, and delphiniums abuzz with bees. 🪻🐝💜

On April 15th 1802, Dorothy Wordsworth recorded the daffodil encounter that inspired her brother's famous poem. I reworked that journal entry to draw out its extraordinary harmonics, in my @vpresslit.bsky.social pamphlet of DW collage poems. The second image highlights DW's gift for music and rhyme.
'Something so wild and new in this feeling' – resting among some daffodils.Poem text:

Among the mossy stones

When we were in the woods beyond
Gowbarrow Park we saw a few daffodils
close to the water-side. We fancied
that the sea had floated the seeds ashore,
and that the little colony had so sprung up.
But as we went along there were more
and yet more;
and at last, under the boughs
of the trees, we saw that there was a long
belt of them along the shore, about
the breadth of a country turnpike road.
I never saw daffodils so beautiful.
They grew among the mossy stones
about and above them; some rested
their heads upon these stones, as on
a pillow, for weariness; and the rest
tossed and reeled and danced, and
seemed as if they verily laughed
with the wind,
that blew upon them
over the lake; they looked so gay, ever
glancing, ever changing. This wind
blew directly over the lake to them.
