“Young Man of Manhattan” (1930) is an early Claudette Colbert film that also happens to be Ginger Rogers’ first film. Colbert starred with then-husband Norman Foster. The only copies available I’ve seen are pretty rough.

Friends here loathed THE GAY DESPERADO when it aired Tuesday on TCM. We finally watched – and loved it. We started laughing at the start and never stopped. We loved the mashup and sendup of genres. The look – incl. shots of huge cacti spoofing Eisenstein’s Mexican footage – had us in stitches. (1/2)
