I cannot emphasise the amount of anticipatory anxiety and stress this can cause our children who (in a lot of cases) don’t benefit from it. Often they have memory difficulties. #EdChatIE 685

When we do this we realise that providing whole class instruction in the form of levelled groups is skipping Tier 1 entirely and moving everyone in the class straight to Tier 2. It places a ceiling on student’s achievement straight away 131
